Dear Kathy,

I just wanted to give you an update on Katrina.  She is a joy.  She thinks she is one of the “pack,” as I think that is how she views it.  She cannot stand to be away from the kids, and sleeps right among them.  She loves the kids so much that she dislikes being alone when we go to church, or head out for a family evening.  We’re still working on that.  I think the separation anxiety is reflective of the fact that she thinks of us as her family and simply doesn’t understand being left.  She seems to be getting better as she matures and understands that gone is not gone for good.

She plays football with the kids and Don, and has learned the rules.  She loves it and outruns everyone, of course!

She doesn’t appear to have grown in awhile; is this when they usually level off?  She is beautiful and a sweet dog in every way.  We really couldn’t have asked for more!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know she is doing fantastic!

Enjoy your holidays,

Kathy,

Will be happy to provide you with info about Lord Tiki Corona (Prince).  He is about 65 pounds and truly considers himself to be a lap dog.  He is very well mannered, loves to play fetch, and tug a war.  He walks very well on the leash and is self taught to heel, sit, and down.  His favorite toys are a stuffed pink pig, white teddy bear, green fish, and pink stuffed lips.  The amazing thing is he knows the difference between the 4 and can find the stuff toy you ask him to bring to you.  He always takes either the pig or teddy bear (his baby) to bed.  Tiki is the most loving dog we have ever had.  We had 2 locator chips put in.

I'll take some pictures of him in a couple of days and send them to you.  Thank you so much for selling us an exceptional dog.  He truly comes from good parents.

Dear Kathy,

Katrina is happy and so well-adjusted to our family.  She has blended in with the kids, and I’m convinced she thinks herself one of them.  She potty-trained with very little difficulty, and I’m sure that’s thanks to you keeping her to the eight-week mark, for she must have learned some skills from her mom, just as you said.  She’s smart and has caught on to new routines and our expectations quite well.  She tries to please and is affectionate to the kids.  She loves to be with our family, and has been a joy in every way.

Sincerely,

Hope you had a nice weekend in Austin. I wanted to let you know that Blue (now named Trigger) has adjusted well to his new home & older brother Cowboy. It took a few days but Cowboy finally convinced Trigger that it was OK to play with him. They were really going at it tonight. Cowboy likes to steal Trigger's toys and get Trigger to chase him. It worked OK til Trigger figured out how fun it is to just grab on Cowboy's tail & get pulled around. My kids were dying of laughter. Here's a good picture for you.  The Slattery’s
